Sermon Date: October 18, 2020
Speaker: Pastor Martin Hawley
There are few things as divisive as politics, and today’s political climate is the worst our country has ever experienced. In one of the most divided and polarized times in America, the question for Jesus follower is this: Are you willing to evaluate your politics through the filter of faith rather than create a version of faith that supports your politics?
“Jesus didn’t call everyone to agree on everything, but he did command his followers to be united around His great love,” said Martin Hawley, pastor.
Join us for this 3-part, unifying series, Jesus on American Politics: The Forbidden Subject, and discuss at church what you were always told you couldn’t.
Part 2 of 3: There’s Only ONE Thing That Lasts (1 Corinthians 9:19, 21; Galatians 6:2) – October 18: Our political views are shaped by a number of variables: our backgrounds, education, and personal experiences to name a few. It’s easy to feel like our view is the right one, but the person beside you is more precious to God than your political view.
