Sermon Date: August 18, 2019
Speaker: Pastor Martin Hawley
Two thousand years ago, a gathering of people in a middle eastern city began a movement that would circle the globe and leave its mark on individuals and cultures on every continent. This movement eventually became known as The Church.
The church is a movement. And … it’s still moving.
Whether you consider yourself a church person or not, you’re invited to join us for this seven-part series, Enormous Church, as Pastor Hawley brings life to the story of the earliest gatherings of Christians.
Part 5 of 7: Enormous Drift (Acts 15) – August 17-18: We have to work hard not to be a church where grace and truth conflict but coexist. Let's be more concerned with who we are reaching rather than just who we are keeping. Let's always err on the side of grace. Let's remain openhanded. Let's follow what James, the brother of Jesus said and not make it difficult for those who are turning to God.
