“Back to Church Sunday,” part of a national movement of churches across America, will be held at South Bay Bible Church, 578 Montauk Highway, East Moriches on Saturday, September 14, at 5:00 (for those who cannot attend on Sunday) and on Sunday, September 15, at 9:00 and 11:00 a.m.. Everyone is welcome to attend.
Since it started as a call to action and invitation for the church in 2009, the National Back to Church Sunday movement marks its tenth year and continues gain momentum. More than 5 million Christ followers have participated through 30,000 churches! It is a day focused on uniting the church to equip and empower members to be inviters. Eight out of ten people say they are open to visiting church if invited—they are just waiting for an invitation.
For Back to Church Sunday, South Bay Bible Church will have a special service featuring a new teaching series – Opportunity: Today’s Decisions Tomorrow’s Realities. Time moves faster and faster the older we become. In fact, life is far too short to make foolish decisions. One bad decision can take years to overcome. Opportunity helps us learn how to make the most of every opportunity.
In addition to relevant message applicable to everyday life, you’ll enjoy uplifting music, and your kids under five are welcome in our nursery and older children can attend Kid’s Club, a super fun, interactive Bible learning experience.
“Back to Church Sunday is a terrific time to try church again, and it’s for the whole family,” says Martin Hawley, pastor. “There has never been a better time to get plugged in to a church that offers a place to belong, opportunities to serve the community, and the chance to grow spiritually.”
Back to Church Sunday takes place rain or shine.
