Sermon Date: November 10, 2019
Speaker: Pastor Matthew Horne
Do you ever get frustrated when the abundant life Jesus promised doesn’t seem to be your reality? This series presents five keys to help you grow in your faith, discover true abundant life, and get fresh hope for daily living.
There’s a direct link between obedience to God and joy in life. Living for God the way He designed is where one finds true satisfaction and purpose in life. “In lofty theological terms, we call this sanctification,” says Matt Horne, associate pastor, “but in real life, we just call it growing up.”
Whether you consider yourself a church person or not, consider this five-part series, #Adulting, as Pastors Martin Hawley and Matt Horne seek to clarify what it means to be planted and to grow in Christ.
Part 2 of 5: The Family of God (Ephesians 4:1-16; Hebrews 10:19-25; Acts 2:42) – November 9-10: One of God’s greatest gifts given to people is the gift of community. Even if you take the spirituality out of it, everyone appreciates having people around them to encourage and push them forward. It’s nice to have a hand to hold when journeying through this thing called “life.” In the Christian faith, we call this the family of God – the church. What is the church really all about, and why do we need it?
